DMT SPECIFICATIONS:

 

  • Measures cloud particles size 7 µm to 75 µm.

  • Sensor head is contained within the aircraft skin. The laser beam is projected outward, uncontained. For In-flight operation only.

  • Light source: 660 nm, 50 mW laser diode.

  • Sample area (DOF): 2.6 mm x .34 mm.

  • Collects back-scattered light.

  • Concentration range: 0-1000 particles/cm3.

  • Airspeed range 10 - 250 m/sec, altitude limit 50,000 ft.

  • Data communication through RS-422 or RS-232 at 38,400 baud.

  • Monitors 8 analog "housekeeping" parameters.
