RECENT UPGRADES:

In 2009 DMT has made two major enhancements to the FM-100:
  • Newer instruments now feature a Dump Spot Monitor in their housekeeping channels. The Dump Spot Monitor replaces the Optic Block Temperature and provides valuable information about overall instrument health. Sustained decreases in the Dump Spot Monitor reading can indicate an overheated laser or probe windows that are blocked by ice or fog.

  • FM-100 users who also own DMT's Particle Analysis and Display System (PADS) can now order an additional PADS module, the FM-100 Scattering Module, to complement the existing FM-100 data-analysis system. For particles detected by the FM-100, the Scattering Module calculates light scattering coefficients and visibility for specific wavelengths.
