Droplet Measurement Technologies instruments are being used in the British Antarctic Survey for their cloud-particle measurement capabilities. The photo below shows a Cloud, Aerosol and Precipitation Spectrometer (CAPS) mounted on the wing of the aircraft. The CAPS measures particles in the 0.51 -1500 um range.
