Scientist / Sales Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
Droplet Measurement Technologies is seeking a unique individual with the skills of an atmospheric research scientist combined with a desire to assist customers in identifying solutions to aerosol and cloud droplet measurement problems. With a broad knowledge of instrumentation and atmospheric measurements, this individual will use a consultative sales approach to recommend instruments, software and application solutions to prospective customers in universities, government and industry. Responsibilities encompass the entire sales process from initial customer contact to providing after-sale training and support. It will involve promoting DMT technologies at scientific meetings, exhibitions and users-group workshops. There will be opportunities for independent and collaborative research with the latest generation of instrumentation. The position involves up to 30% travel worldwide for sales contacts, customer training and research measurements.
Required:
Advanced degree in a technical field such as atmospheric sciences, chemistry, physics, or engineering
5+ years experience as an atmospheric research scientist
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, high integrity, team player
Proactive, self-starter, excellent follow through
Desired:
Recognized in the field as an expert (for example with peer-reviewed publications, presentations at scientific meetings, participation in field campaigns, and professional honors and awards)

Electrical Development Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
Droplet Measurement Technologies is seeking an electrical engineer to support the design and development of scientific measurement instrumentation. Responsibilities include design, prototype, and testing of analog and digital electronic circuits, including embedded microprocessors/microcontrollers and FPGAs. Development within a team environment will be from initial concepts through hardware/software integration, testing, and documentation.
Required:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3+ years experience in developing embedded systems
Digital and analog design expertise
Ability to write C language code
Experience with PCB layout
Experience with firmware development, Verilog preferred, VHDL acceptable
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, high integrity, team player
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Attention to detail with good organizational skills
Proactive, self-starter, excellent follow through
Desired:
MS or significant graduate-level course work in above disciplines
Experience with computer-controlled sensors/instrumentation, and computer-based data acquisition systems
Data analysis skills
Experience with PADS PCB for board layout; SolidWorks for MCAD; LabView for instrument control programming; and/or Xilinx tools for FPGA development
Experience configuring Linux kernels for embedded platforms
