To download and install the DA-0001 software, click here, unzip the file, and follow the steps below (also outlined in the "readme" file). These steps guide you through installing 2 run-time engines, moving an .ini file into a LabVIEW folder on your C drive, and moving the the DA001.exe file to a location on your hard drive.
NOTE: This installation is not supported on Windows VISTA.
* Quit all other applications.
* Install the LabVIEW Run-time Engine Version 6.1 for Windows
(LVRunTimeEng.exe) on the computer you will use to run the DA001.exe.
(click "Next" and "Finish" until done.)
* Install the VISA Run-time Engine Version 2.6 for
Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP (visa260runtime.exe) on the computer you
will use to run the DA001.exe. You will have to accept the license
agreement, and you may need to reboot.
* Copy the visaconfig.ini file provided with the DA001 to the following path:
C:\VXIpnp\WinNT\NIvisa\visaconf.ini
The WinNT portion of the path may change depending on your
operating system. If this file already exists, replace it.
* Move the DA001H6_1.exe file to the location on your computer that you
want to run from. (C: or C:/Program files will work.)
* Make sure the instrument and DA-0001 are on and hooked up, and that the
DA001H6_1 is hooked up to the computer's serial port.
* Open the DA001.exe file and you should see the instrument panel
on your computer.
